Contact forms
When visitors use the contact form on this website (www.shadowdustandwonderlust.com) we collect the data inputted into the form fields (your name, email address & message) which is then transmitted to our email inbox hosted on our webhost’s (Dream Host) servers.
This allows us to communicate with you in a friendly personalized manner. However, we have also made the “name” form field optional in the event you’d prefer not to share your name with us. Beyond this transfer of data to our inbox, we do NOT share your data with anyone—not even advertisers. And we NEVER sell this collected data with third parties.
We also collect the visitor’s IP address & browser user agent string to help spam detection. Which basically means an IP identifier for each visitor who messages us is stored so we can block SPAM bots from cluttering up our inbox with potentially harmful emails.
Opt-in emails
When you opt-in to our various mailing lists we collect the data inputted into the form fields (your first name & email address) which is then transmitted and stored on ConvertKit’s servers.
This allows us to communicate with you in a friendly personalized manner. Once on our lists we may ask you a few more questions to help niche you into a segment to ensure we only email with content you have expressed a genuine interest in receiving. You are welcome to unsubscribe at any time & a link to do so can be found on the bottom of every email along with the physical mailing address of this story forge.
